Course describes the prerequisites and knowledge required for a pipeline worker to conduct a leak survey using a remote methane leak detector (RMLD). It addresses the pipeline class location, the mechanisms used on the RMLD, required conditions for gas detection, safety equipment, tools and equipment, and the abnormal operating conditions (AOCs) that may occur during a leak survey.
