Course describes the prerequisites and knowledge required for a pipeline worker to successfully and safely perform excavation operations using hydro-vac equipment. It addresses pipeline personnel responsibilities and required tasks prior to and during excavation activities, and procedures for performing hydro-vac excavation. The course also identifies and describes the safety risks and hazards of excavation operations and the abnormal operating conditions (AOCs) that may occur during hydro-vac excavation.
