Course describes the prerequisites and knowledge required for launching and/or receiving internal devices for lines out of service. It discusses five types of pigs that may be used and summarizes the process for selecting a specific pig and establishing a launching and receiving site. It addresses the various applications of each type of pigging tool and the abnormal operating conditions (AOCs) that may occur during launching and/or receiving pigs.
