Course describes the prerequisites and knowledge required for the pipeline worker to temporarily isolate a service line or discontinue service of a pipeline. It addresses safety preparation, describes the process to safely lock out and cut various types of pipelines, and the abnormal operating conditions (AOCs) that may occur during isolating or discontinuing service of a pipeline.
