Course describes the prerequisites and knowledge required for successfully troubleshooting and repairing or replacing components of in-service cathodic protection systems. It addresses the electrical safety, equipment and methods pertaining to performing troubleshooting and repairing/replacing defective components, procedures for determining why the cathodic protection system and components are not functioning properly, the exact location of the issue(s) and the appropriate corrective actions for repair or replacement. Abnormal operating conditions (AOCs) that may occur during the operation are also covered.
